Μια ιστοσελίδα αναφέρει ότι ήταν «ακατέργαστος αλλά καταπληκτικός» second row forward για την ομάδα ράγκμπυ του Λίτλ Ρόκ στο Άρκανσο. Παρ’όλα αυτά, μια άλλη ιστοσελίδα αναφέρει πως δεν έπαιξε ποτέ εκεί. Ο ίδιος πάντως δήλωνε στην Sydney Morning Herald το 1996: «Ως αμερικανός, είχα πλήρη άγνοια των κανόνων. Ήμουν όμως ο πιο μεγαλόσωμος στην ομάδα, οπότε ο προπονητής απλά μου είπε: «Κλίντον, βγες εκεί έξω και μπες σε κάποιου το δρόμο». Αυτό και έκανα. Απλά μπήκα στο δρόμο των ανθρώπων».

However, an other site writes: “my source at the Little Rock RFC says he never played for them. According to Clinton himself as recorded by the Sydney Morning Herald in 1996: "Being an American, I didn't know any of the rules. But I was the biggest guy on the team, so the coach just said to me: 'Clinton, go out there and get in someone's way.' So that's what I did, just got in people's way."
